ABSTRACT VISION
Michele Lombardelli, ABSTRACT VISION
The B&B FineArt gallery in Lugano/Paradiso presents a new solo exhibition by Michele Lombardelli, featuring a selection of abstract works created between 2020 and 2024. Lombardelli’s paintings are inspired by “classical” abstraction, reinterpreted through a conceptual approach that expands its expressive possibilities. The artist explores the expressive potential of pure forms and geometry in an innovative way, through a refined interplay of lines, colors, and space.
Each composition follows a rigorous logic, while at the same time allowing for multiple interpretations, inviting the viewer to engage in a constantly renewed and personal reading. Lombardelli invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a visual experience that evokes the intellectualism of conceptual art, while maintaining a strong connection to emotion and visual sensation.
For the artist, abstraction is not merely an aesthetic tool, but also a vehicle for deeper reflection on the meaning and perception of art itself. Though intimate in scale, the exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore the evolution of Lombardelli’s work, as he continues to push the boundaries of abstract art, blending mathematics and visual poetry into timeless compositions.
Each work becomes a window onto contemporary research, where abstraction is never an end in itself, but a language through which to tell stories and convey emotion.
